Our Belief

Our belief is rooted in the foundational truths of the Christian faith as revealed in the Bible. We affirm the deity of Jesus Christ, salvation by grace
through faith, the authority of Scripture, the power of prayer, and the importance of living out our faith through love and service to others. Our belief guides our actions, shapes our relationships, and informs our mission to share the hope and love of Christ with the world.

FATHER

God is the eternal Creator and sovereign Ruler of the universe, existing in three distinct personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. As the Creator, God brought the universe into existence through His divine power and wisdom. He sustains all things by His word and governs the course of history according to His divine plan and purpose. He is portrayed in Scripture as a compassionate and merciful Father who cares deeply for His creation and desires a relationship with His children.

JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the central part of our Christian faith. He lived a sinless human life and willingly offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of humanity by dying on the cross. Through His sacrificial death, Jesus made a way for all people to be reconciled with God and experience forgiveness and eternal life. After three days in the tomb, Jesus rose from the dead, demonstrating His power over sin and death. Following His resurrection, Jesus ascended to Heaven in glory, where He sits on the right hand of the Father. Jesus will return one day to earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, as promised. Jesus’ life, teachings, death, and resurrection are foundational to our Christian faith, embodying
God’s love, grace, and redemption for humanity. At Jesus Family Church, we proclaim Jesus Christ as the Savior and Lord, inviting all to encounter His transformative power and experience the abundant life He offers.

HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is the divine presence of God actively at work in the world and in the lives of all believers from the moment of their salvation. We understand the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of God, co-equal and co-eternal with God the Father and Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit plays a central role in the Christian faith, being associated with various functions and manifestations:

Guidance:  The Holy Spirit guides and directs believers in their spiritual journey, providing wisdom, discernment, and understanding of God’s will.

Comfort: The Holy Spirit the Comforter and Advocate, provides comfort, strength, and encouragement to believers, especially during times of trial or distress.

Empowerment: The Holy Spirit empowers believers for Christian ministry and service, equipping them with spiritual gifts for the building up of the Church and the advancement of God’s kingdom.

Conviction: The Holy Spirit convicts individuals of their sin, prompting them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.

Transformation: The Holy Spirit works within believers to transform their hearts and minds, producing the fruit of the Spirit—such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—as evidence of their relationship with God. We believe that the Holy Spirit is present and active in the world today, drawing people to God, empowering believers for Christian living, and fulfilling God’s purposes in the world until the return of Jesus Christ.

THE BIBLE

Belief in the Bible is crucial to the Christian faith. It is the Word of God, containing divine revelation and guidance for humanity. We believe that the Bible communicates God’s will, character, and purpose, providing spiritual nourishment, guidance for living, and insight into the nature of God’s relationship with us. We view the Bible as authoritative, trustworthy, and infallible in matters of faith and practice. We believe that it offers answers to life’s deepest questions, addresses the human condition, and reveals God’s plan for salvation through Jesus Christ. The Bible serves as a source of comfort, encouragement, and conviction for believers, guiding them in their relationship with God and shaping their worldview and moral values. Through its teachings, we seek to understand God’s love, mercy, and justice, and to live in accordance with His will as revealed in Scripture.

HUMAN BEINGS

People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience towards God, called sin. This attitude separates people from God and causes many problems in life.

SALVATION

Salvation is freely offered by God, but it requires our acceptance. No amount of self-improvement or good deeds can atone for our sins. Only by placing our trust in Jesus Christ, who offers forgiveness for our sins, can we be saved from the consequences of our sins. When we relinquish control of our lives and put our faith in Jesus, we experience salvation. Whoever believes in Jesus Christ will not perish but instead have eternal life.
